Building a pet project about coffee (timeline)

Well, where do I start?

Being an entrepreneur while running multiple projects (4 to be exact) can be exhausting. When you're in a crazy rush—new clients are coming in, the website is showing 404, some of your team are sick and delaying the critical task—while life goes on simultaneously, it's hard to take a break and reflect. Reflect on what you are doing and why you are doing it, and even document your journey along the way, not say put your lessons learned on (digital) paper.

Here is my attempt to slow down and write down some interesting things and (most importantly) my explorations along the way. Fortunately, I have my pet project, Specialty Kava, where I can combine my passion for good coffee with my experience as a web creator. While I don't have any specific deadlines, broken cash flows, or the other startup founders' hustle and bustle, I believe this time, the hobby projects will keep their purpose of having fun and doing what inspires you.

So, I'll constantly share updates and progress on the development of Specialty Kava with dates and quick notes. Let's call it the project's chronogram. Yes, I should say that the website has existed for about nine months, so I will start writing only the new updates.

Here are my discoveries:

12th of September 2024

  1. Today, I rediscovered Stackshare.io. This platform allows developers and website builders to discover, compare, and discuss popular tech companies' best software tools and technologies. It's a good place to see what other websites are using and compare it to yours, as well as visualize your tech stack to see how it aligns with the current landscape.

Just in case, I created one, too - https://stackshare.io/companies/specialty-kava

  1. If you're a fan of transparency (count me in), TheOrg.com is your place. TheOrg.com platform provides an interactive, visual representation of company organizational charts, allowing users to explore team structures, roles, and career opportunities within various organizations.

No doubt, I created a page for my pet project for the better visibility:

  1. I am always looking for catalogs similar to Product Hunt. I'm a big fan of Product Hunt not only because you can explore the newest cool websites daily, but I had experience launching my products on Product Hunt 6 or 7 times, so it makes you committed to this place. However, there is always an alternative. I've recently discovered Uneed.best, which has a nice UI and different categories of websites (design, development, marketing, personal life, etc).

The icing on the cake is that I've submitted a Specialty Kava website, which was almost immediately approved by the Uneed team 🥳.

  1. Another thing that excited me today is the integration of Ghost with Google Search Console. I didn't expect it to be that easy. I'll leave the guide here as well.

More things to come! Stay tuned
